ruralnet|uk (via its subsidiary RNUK Ltd) produced a simple Guide to Wireless Networking for NIACE (National Institute of Adult and Continuing Education) and DFES (Department for Education and Skills) as part of the WON project (Wireless Outreach Networks). This DFES-funded programme was managed by NIACE, and supplied wireless laptops to community organisations to encourage outreach and engagement. Using wireless technology proved a steep learning curve for many organisations and the Guide was produced to help non-technical workers to identify and troubleshoot common problems.
