The Rufus Directory is a one-stop source of information for the rural sector across England. This database is being written to hold this information and will be linked to their website as a searchable resource.

Funded by the British Council to supply a resource person for ICT-related rural development projects in and around Chennai and to give a keynote presentation to the Indian Association of Special Libraries and Information Centres in Kolkata.

ruralnet|uk was a partner in the ‘Broadband Rural Area Network’ (bRAN) project which tested the use of wireless broadband using point-to-point and point-to-multipoint systems deliverying data at speeds of 28-54 Mbps.

Multi-Service Outlet (MSO) Policy - Contributor to DEFRA policy development meetings on rural service delivery.
2002 - 04
Training and the provision of extranet services to the project. This initiative links all the Countryside Agency-funded rural inclusion workers based in the English Rural Community Councils.

Project manager for the GROWS project, an AWM-funded project covering the rural West Midlands, and offering skills training and cluster development for businesses affected by Foot and Mouth Disease. The project was delivered by partners in each of the rural sub-regions.

Worked with RASE to produce booklet giving sources of help for FMD-affected businesses in the West Midlands, on behalf of AWM.

The development of the website and portal for the Centre for Rural Development (CRD), Sussex. This portal is implemented by providing access through this website to the InfoRurale database. The InfoRurale database has been augmented to include CRD-related links and website visitors can restrict their searches to CRD-related records or search the entire InfoRurale database.
